금조수산 (하얀이네 굴)

우리나라 최대 굴양식 산지인 통영. 용남동에 위치한 이 굴양식어장은 하루에 2톤 가량의 굴을 생산하는 제법 큰 규모의 어장이다. 새벽부터 양식장에서 따기 시작한 굴은 점심때쯤 어장으로 들어오고 20여 명의 주민들이 굴을 까는 작업을 한다. 생굴을 모아서 경매를 하고 판매에 이르는 것. 많은 영양소를 함유한 굴은 바다의 우유라고 불릴 정도다.

Tongyeong, the largest oyster cultivation area in Korea. This oyster aquaculture farm located in south-east of Yongdong is a large-scale fishing ground that produces about 2 tons of oysters per day. The oysters, which have been picked up from the farm since dawn, enter the fishing ground by lunchtime and 20 people inhabit the oysters. Collecting oysters and auctioning them to sales. Oysters that contain many nutrients are called milk of the sea.
