한 지붕 아래에서 180명 가족이 과연 함께 살아갈 수 있을까? 인도 방갈로드의 한 마을에는 200에이커 농장 안에서 자급자족하며 살아가는 180명 대가족이 있다.

400년 전, 3형제가 서로 헤어지지 않기로 맹세한 후 지금껏 지켜온 약속이 180명의 대가족이 됐다는데.. 그 중 6가족, 70여명은 인근 지역에서 따로 살고 있다. 그렇다면, 110명의 가족이 한 집에서 사는 것이 가능할까? 방만 무려 20개! 아침 문안 안사에서부터 세끼 밥 때까지 조용할 시간이 없다! 게다가 인도 최고의 명절을 앞두고 180명의 가족이 모두 한 자리에 모였다는데..

가지 많은 나무에 바람잘 날 없다지만, 뿌리에 대한 긍지와 자부심으로 그 어느 집보다 화목한 180 대가족 이야기를 들어본다.

Can 180 families live together under one roof? In a village in Bangalore, India, there are 180 large families living on a 200-acre farm with self-sufficiency.

Four hundred years ago, the three brothers pledged not to break apart, and the promise they made so far has become a big family of 180. Six of them, 70, live separately in the neighborhood. So, is it possible for 110 families to live in one house? Only 20 rooms! There is no time to quiet down from the morning sansa to the sushi rice!
