낙안읍성민속마을은 왜적의 침입을 막기 위해 넓은 평야지에 축조된 성곽으로 성내에는 관아와 100여 채의 초가가 돌담과 싸리문에 가려 옛 모습을 그대로 보존하고 있다. 옛 고을의 기능과 전통적인 주거공간에서 지금도 생활하는 주민의 모습을 통해 오늘날에도 보고 느낄 수 있는 살아있는 전통문화. 낙안읍성은 우리나라의 대표적인 조선시대 지방계획도시로서 그 원형이 가장 잘 보존되어 있는 곳으로 손꼽힌다.

Nakan-eup Sung Folk Village is a castle built on a wide plain to prevent invasions of warriors. Inside the castle is a castle and over 100 small houses that are preserved as they are covered with stone walls and sacred walls. Nakan-eup is one of Korea's most representative provinces of the Joseon Dynasty, and is considered one of the most well preserved circles.
