우리나라 3대 악성으로 불리는 난계 박연. 국악의 틀을 정립한 난계박연의 명맥을 잇고 있는 국악의 본고장 영동. 그의 흔적을 느낄 수 있는 난계국악박물관이 마련되어 있어 편경, 가야금 등 다양한 국악기는 물론 난계의 생애도 엿볼 수 있다. 박물관 옆에는 국악기제작촌이 있어 가야금, 거문고, 장구, 해금 등 다양한 국악기의 제작과정을 직접 볼 수 있다. 관광객들이 직접 악기를 제작해보는 체험도 가능해 이색적인 체험장으로 인기를 모으고 있다.
