1936년부터 형성된 재래시장으로 동해에서 어획한 자연산 수산물을 판매하는 최대규모의 어시장. 새롭게 리모델링을 마친 수산시장은 관광객의 필수 여행코스로도 유명하다. 문화체육관광부에서 재래시장 활성화 사업의 일환으로 추진하는 '문화를 통한 전통시장 활성화 시범사업'에 경기도 수원 못골시장과 함께 대상시장으로 선정되었다. 그래서 다양한 변화를 시도하고 있는데 매일 주말마다 추는 율동으로 주문진 수산시장의 명물로 떠오르고 있는 '싱쌩쇼'가 대표적인 예다.

Jumjin Fish Market

It is a traditional market formed from 1936 and is the largest fish market selling wild seafood caught in the East Sea. The newly renovated Fish Market is also famous as a must-see for tourists. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been selected as a target market along with the Suwon Mugong Market in Gyeonggi Province in the 'Pilot Project for Activating Traditional Market through Culture' which is being promoted as part of the revitalization of traditional markets. So, I try to make various changes every day, and every weekends, I have been singing "Sung Sang-soo" which is becoming a specialty of the fish market.
