삼천포에서 제법 가까운 섬 신수도. 뱃길로 20분가량 달리면 만날 수 있는 섬이다.
섬의 이름은 주위의 부속 섬을 포함하여 52개의 산봉우리가 있다 하여 쉰두섬이라 부르다가 신수도라 불리게 되었다.
죽방렴, 공룡발자국 등 육지와 가까워도 옛모습을 고스람히 볼 수 있는 곳!
또한 아기자기한 바위들이 재미를 더하는 곳이다.
신수도 섬에도 겨울 준비가 한창이었는데~ 섬이라 그럴까.
김장할때도 뭍과는 사뭇 다른 재료로 섬고유의 맛을 더한다!
또한 못생긴 물고기로 꼽히는 물메기!
차가운 섬바람 맞으며 여행한 사람들에게 바다에서 막 건져올린 물메기탕은 차가웠던 마음까지 녹여주는 신수도의 대표 음식!
