우리나라에서 페트병생산은 연평균 6%의 성장세를 꾸준히 보이고 있는데..
하지만 썩는데 100년이라는 시간이 걸린다는 점에서 환경오염의 주범으로 꼽혀왔다.
다행인 점은 탄소화합물 소재인 페트병은 100% 재활용이 가능했던 것.
최근 재활용페트병이 더욱 부각된 이유에는 2010 남아공월드컵이 계기가 됐다.
우리나라를 비롯해 출전국 9개국의 국가대표선수들이 재활용페트병으로 만들어진 유니폼을 입고 경기에 임하고 있기 때문인데.
유니폼 한 장에 필요한 페트병은 고작 5개!
색상별로 각각 쓰임새가 다른 페트병은 1차적으로 분리작업을 마치고 다시 2차 세척과 분쇄작업으로 손톱절반크기의 플레이크화 되는데.
유니폼을 만드는 원사는 투명한 페트병만을 골라 분쇄해 만들어지고 있었다.
이렇게 놀라운 기술력으로 만들어진 재활용페트병 유니폼은 가볍고 흡수력이 좋아 스포츠웨어로 각광받고 있는데. 업체는 페트병 유니폼사업으로 작년만 해도 석유자원 600톤이 절감되고 1000톤의 해당되는 이산화탄소를 감소시켰을 정도로 친환경적 사업으로써의 큰 수확을 얻고 있다고 했다!
그렇다면 우리 생활 속에서 페트병을 재활용할 수 있는 방법은 무엇이 있을까?

The production of PET bottles in Korea is steadily growing at an annual average rate of 6%.

Different PET bottles for different colors are firstly separated and then second washed and crushed to make flakes half the size of the nails.
The raw material for making uniforms was made by grinding only transparent PET bottles.
Recycled PET bottle uniforms made with such amazing technology are popular as sportswear because they are light and absorbable. The company said that it has gotten a big harvest as an eco-friendly business by reducing 600 tons of petroleum resources and reducing the equivalent of 1000 tons of CO2 by last year.
