더운 날씨 탓으로 기름에서 나오는 유증기의 온도가 올라가면 위험한 화재사고는 물론,심각한 환경오염까지 야기시킨다는 놀라운 사실!
음식점, 공장, 주유소 등 곳곳에서 유증기로 인한 사고가 도사리고 있다!
유증기란 기름, 즉 휘발유나 석유, 신나 등에서 발생하는 기체를 일컫는 말로 우리가 흔히 이용하는 주유소에도 유증기의 위험이 숨어있다.
하지만 대부분의 사람이 유증기가 무엇인지, 얼마나 위험한지는 알지 못하는데..
주유 시 주유건에서 아지랑이처럼 피어오르는 것이 바로 유증기!
유증기가 있는 곳에 아주 작은 불꽃이라도 튄다면 폭발과 함께 큰 화재로 번지게 된다.
또한 집에서 사용하는 렌지후드 속에도 달라붙어 있는 유증기는 조리 중 화재가 났을 때 큰 화재로 번지게 되는 원인이 된다는 무시무시한 사실!
그렇다면 우리가 유증기화재에 대처할 수 있는 방안은 없을까?
2012년까지 서울 및 대도시 수도권에서 유증기 회수설비장치는 의무적으로 설치하게 되어있고, 생활 속에서 늘 사용하는 렌지후드는 정기적으로 청소를 하거나 필터를 갈아주는 것만으로도 유증기화재를 예방할 수 있다.
여름철 순간의 부주의로 발생하는 유증기화재!
환경오염도 줄이고 화재도 예방하기 위해서는 유증기에 대한 각별한 주의가 필요하다.
