하지만 이런 과대포장으로 쓰레기가 발생하고 이로인해 환경오염까지 유발하는데..
그래서 요즘 포장업계에서는 친환경바람이 불고 있다!
포장의 전반적인 부분을 연구하는 기관에서는 요즘 기능성포장과 함께 친환경포장 연구에도 열심이다. 친환경 포장이란, 생산과정에서부터 원재료를 절감하거나 사용 한 후에도 재활용, 재이용이 가능하도록 만든 것을 의미한다.
우리 주변에도 쉽게 볼 수 있는 친환경포장이 있는데,
가전제품을 포장하는 종이박스 대신 기능성필름을 이용하여 종이사용량을 감축하려 노력하고 우리가 흔히 이용하는 커피잔의 경우 커피잔과 커피잔을 감싸는 종이를 일체형으로 만들어 쓰레기를 최소화한다.
