운암사
광양시 옥룡면 추산리 / 061-762-3635
우리나라 최대크기의 불상을 볼 수 있는 곳. 40m높이의 황동약사여래입상이며, 1990년 세워진 속리산 법주사의 청동미륵불보다 3m가 큰 30m 높이로 황동 75t이 사용된 것으로 알려졌으며, 2009년도에 금박을 입혀 금불상으로 변신하였다.
소나무와 동백나무로 둘러싸인 절터가 아늑하고 운치 있다.
특히 운암사와 옥룡사 사이의 길은 동백터널로 유명하다.
도선국사가 손수 심었다는 동백나무는 봄에 꽃이 피는 춘백. 수령 100~300년의 아름드리 동백나무 7000여그루가 군락을 이룬 동백숲은 2006년 ‘아름다운 천년의 숲’대상을 차지한데 이어 천연기념물 제489호로 지정됐다.

The largest Buddha statue in Korea. It is said to be a 40m high brass pharmacist, and it is said that 75t of brass was used at a height of 30m, which is 3m bigger than bronze mireukbul temple built in 1990.
It is surrounded by pine trees and camellia trees.
Especially, the road between Inam Temple and Oryongsa Temple is famous for Dongbaek Tunnel.
The camellia trees that Tosun was planted by hand are blooming in spring. Camellia forest, in which 7,000 beautiful camellia trees are 100 to 300 years old, was designated as a Natural Monument No. 489 in 2006 after receiving the Beautiful Millennium Forest in 2006.
