강원 정선군 남면 무릉리 소재
해발 1119m로, 산의 이름처럼 정상에는 나무가 없고, 드넓은 주능선 일대는 억새밭이다. 억새가 많은 것은 산나물이 많이 나게 하려고 매년 한 번씩 불을 질렀기 때문이다. 억새꽃은 10월 중순에서 11월 초순까지 피기 때문에 가을에만 만나볼 수 있고 해마다 이때를 기념해 ‘억새축제’가 열린다.
