섬진강 강굴

섬진강 유역에서만 3~4월에만 맛볼 수 있는 섬진강 강굴. 벚꽃이 필 무렵 가장 맛있다고 하여 일명 벚굴이라고도 불린다.
크기가 무려 30cm나 되며 알은 쌀뜨물처럼 뽀얗다.
잠수부가 장비를 갖추고 입수해 강바닥 바위에 달라붙은 강굴을 떼어내는 방식으로 채집한다.
일반 참굴보다 4배 이상의 고단백질이라 하루에 생으로 3~4개가 적당하다.
포구의 식당 대부분에서 강굴을 취급하며, 구이, 회, 죽 등으로 즐길 수 있다.

The Seomjin River Ganggye can be enjoyed only in the March ~ April of the Seomjin River basin. It is also called cherry blossom because it is said that it is the most delicious when cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The size is as big as 30cm and eggs are whitish like rice. The diver collects them by equipping them with equipment and removing the trenches that have stuck to the rocks of the river. It is 4 times higher protein than common oyster and 3 ~ 4 is suitable for daily life. Most of the restaurants in the catchment area treat the gang, and you can enjoy grilling, sashimi, and porridge.
