한국의 반도체신화를 가능케 한 진대제 전 정보통신부 장관!
가난한 산골소년으로 태어나 철거민 판자촌에서 학창시절을 보낸 국비유학생 1호, 진대제는 “조국의 반도체 산업을 일으켜 일본을 삼켜버리겠다”며 미국 IBM에 사표를 던지고 귀국해 세계 최초로 16M D램을 개발해냈다.
정통엔지니어 출신으로 삼성을 반도체메모리 사업에서 세계 일등으로 만들고, 2000년 삼성전자 사장이 된 후에는 소니의 아성을 깬 탁월한 테크노 CEO로서 인정받았다.
