과거 해적들이 은거한 섬이라 하여 이작도라 지어진 섬.
고작 150명의 주민이 살고 있는 작은 섬으로 서울에서 비교적 가깝지만 때가 하나도 묻지 않은 자연 그대로의 모습을 볼 수 있는 섬이다.
대이작도를 대표하는 것은 바로 부아산.
잘 닦인 등산로하며 부아산 정상에서 보는 해돋이는 말로 표현할 수 없는 장관!
또한 하루 두 번 썰물때 드러난다는 신비의 풀치도 광관객들이 많이 찾는 이유.
또한 흔들거리는 구름다리... 아이를 점지어 준다는 삼신할매 약수터도 명물이다.
