21세기를 살아가며 경쟁하는데 필요한 것 중 하나가 바로‘말하기’의 기술이다.
이렇게 말이 우리생활에서 차지하는 비중이 점차 커지면서 제대로‘말하는 방법’을 배우려는 관심 또한 커지고 있다.
스피치란 정해진 시간과 장소에서 보다 많은 사람들을 대상으로 한 말하기로서 연설이나 웅변뿐만 아니라 토론, 토의, 회의 그리고 대화에 이르기까지 그 범위가 넓다. 스피치를 잘 하기 위해서는 때와 장소에 맞게 적절해야 하며, 전달은 명쾌하고 간결해야 한다. 또한 말을 할 때는 미소를 띠고, 적당한 목소리로 이야기 하는 것도 잊지 말아야 한다.
그리고 가장 중요한 한 가지! 무엇보다 말하는 내용이 진실해야 한다.
아무리 좋은 말이라 하더라도 그 속에 진심이 담겨있지 않은 말은 상대의 마음을 움직일 수 없다.
대화에서 중요한 것은 말의 기교가 아니라 상대를 배려하고 존중하는 자세임을 잊지 말자.
