Heide-dong, northwest of Beijing, China, is a state-of-the-art software park called "China's Silicon Valley." In this region, which occupies the heart of Chinese science and technology, however, if you cross the street alone, the opposite strange landscape unfolds. This bizarre space, which seems to have filled the small and old blocks tightly, is a side village where young 'ants', newly emerging in China, flock together. In addition to the farmers, farmers, and dismissed workers in the fast-growing China, the Ants are considered to be among the four poorest in China. I looked into their struggling life called 'China's 880,000 won generation' in <W>.
The life of ants pushed to the side village
The term "ant" refers to the young people of China who graduate from college and then work in low-wage jobs such as part-time and part-time jobs. Intelligence is high, but there is no power, and it is named after the resemblance of an ant to the residence of a group looking for a cheap house. They were born in the 1980s by the 'one-child household policy' and were called 'small emperors' and grew wealthy. However, in 2010, they were unable to earn a living even after holding a college diploma due to job hunting and skyrocketing house prices. Originally a small rural town, the prodigal son of a prostitute has been transformed into a side village since 2006 because of the ants who are looking for cheap houses. Now more than 50,000 people have nestled here. The people who had fun in the rental income were attracted to the place, and they were building a room by hitting the wall roughly. So, about 80 percent of this place is an unauthorized building! The alleyway was too narrow to pass.
The crew looked into the inside of one side. A narrow single room of 8 square meters (about 2 pyeong) without even a toilet reminded me of an antique cave. Less than two people, a lot of four people, were living in this narrow room. "There is not as cheap a house here in Beijing. This side town is the only place I can stay in Beijing. "(27 years old), who has been working for three years on the side of the prodigal ring. I could barely get a job, but I could not get another house with a salary of 2,000 yuan (about 330,000 won) and still could not leave the side of 300 yuan a month (about 50,000 won).
"I did not know this cruel reality was waiting for me."
Feng Fei (25 years old), who graduated from an IT-related department at a prestigious university in Beijing, said, "I did not know this cruel reality was waiting for me after graduating from college." What he started out was a telemarketer who could no longer be trusted by his parents in his hometown. Compared to previous college graduates who worked for a regular job and received a salary of about 4,000 yuan (about 660,000 won), Feng Fei earned less than two-thirds of the money she earned in a month. To save even a small amount of money, he walked to the company unconditionally, refrained from eating out, and resolved to eat as much as possible at home.
What is the reason for the birth of these ants in China, which is growing fast? The biggest backdrop is education inflation due to explosive college student growth. As more than six million graduates were poured out in a year, college diplomas became obsolete. I do not have any low-wage jobs for my livelihood, and I see the Ants who pay a salary of 1,000 to 2,000 yuan, which is just the wage level of a farm worker (a low-educated rural worker).
Crisis of the Neighboring Villages, Where Are the Ants Going?
At present, there are more than 1 million ants in China. Beijing has a population of at least 100,000 people. 70% of them are from rural areas and do not have local hukou. To make matters worse, the ants of the prodigal lynx recently faced another crisis. The unauthorized neighboring village is about to be demolished! If the prodigal outskirts of Beijing, the only ant home of the Ants, have lost their prodigal ring, where are they going now? China's power and future ants
