2월에도 계속되는 폭설. 동해로부터 불어온 습한 기류가 백두대간에 부딪쳐 상승하면서 거대한 눈구름이 형성되어 있다.
겨울 내내 눈으로 덮여 있는 대관령엔 오래 전부터 폭설에 적응해 살아온 사람들이 있다.
이동을 위해 나무를 깎아 만든 스키인 ‘발썰매’와 아이들의 낙인 썰매는 대관령 사람들의 생활 속에 큰 자리를 차지하고 있다. 겨울레포츠의 요람으로 11월부터 4월까지 스키를 즐길 수 있는 유일한 곳인 대관령은 2018평창동계올림픽의 주무대이다.
대관령에 눈이 잦아들면 바람이 그 자리를 대신한다. 일정한 세기로 불어오는 바람은 53개의 풍력발전기를 통해 최고의 전기를 생산한다.
옛날 지역민의 삶을 어렵게 했던 기후 조건은 새로운 산업을 창출하고 육성하는 자원이 됐을 뿐 아니라 문화·관광 자원으로 재탄생하고 있다.
눈과 바람의 나라 대관령의 환상적인 경관이 펼쳐진다.

The heavy snow continued in February. The humid stream blowing from the East Sea climbs to the Baekdudaegan, and a huge snowy sky is formed.
There are people who have lived in the Daegwān-gyeong area covered by snow all through winter, adapting to snowfall long ago.
The ski slope "foot sled" and the children's stigmatized sled are carved into a tree in the life of the Daegwallyeong people. Daegwanryeong, the only place to enjoy skiing from November to April as a cradle of winter sports, is the main stage of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games.
When snow falls in Daegwallyeong, the wind takes its place. Winds of constant intensity produce the best electricity through 53 wind turbines.
The climatic conditions that made the lives of old people difficult have not only become the resources to create and nurture new industries, but they are being reborn as cultural and tourism resources.
A fantastic view of Daegwallyeong of the country of snow and wind is unfolded.
