퉁사리는 세계적으로 한국의 금강과 만경강 등 극히 일부 지역에서만 서식하는 토종물고기다.
퉁가리와 자가사리의 중간적 특징을 갖고 있어 퉁사리라 이름 지어진 퉁사리는 예전에는 너무 흔해 대접받지 못했던 물고기였다.
그러나 금강에서 급격히 사라져 좀처럼 보기 힘든 멸종위기 1급 어류가 된 퉁사리.
추억 속의 물고기가 되어버린 퉁사리를 과연 고향인 금강 여울에서 만날 수 있을까?
제작팀은 금강 퉁사리 탐사에 나섰다. 자갈이 많고, 먹이가 풍부한 여울에 서식하는 퉁사리는 비교적 작은 돌 아래 알을 낳고 수컷이 알을 지킨다.
주로 밤에 활동을 하며, 돌 틈에 서식하는 퉁사리의 신비를 영상으로 만난다.
지구상에 있는 메기목 어류 4천 종 중에서 가장 작은 염색체를 가지고 있어 생태적으로도 소중한 특징을 지닌 물고기를 소개한다.

Geumgangsul tangle sowing under a small stone
Tongsari is a native fish species that lives only in a few parts of the world, such as the Geumgang and Mangyeong River in Korea.
Tung Sari, named Tongsari, is a fish that was once too uncommon and unacceptable.
However, Tung Sari, who became a first-class endangered fish that was hardly seen in the Geum River.
Can you meet Tongsari, which has become a fish in your memories, at the home of Geumgang Yeol?
The production team went to Geumgang Tongsari exploration. Inhabited by gravelly, prey-rich shrubs, tungari yields eggs under relatively small stones, and males guard eggs.
It mainly works at night, and meets with the mystery of Tungsari living in the gaps.
We introduce the fish which has the smallest chromosome among the 4,000 catfish species on the planet and has ecologically important characteristics.
