금강의 지천 중 빼어난 풍경을 자랑하는 전북 진안군의 운일암반일암. 5월 산란철이면 우리나라 고유종 꺽지와 감돌고기의 종족번식을 위한 목숨을 건 감동이 펼쳐진다.
여울의 파괴로 사라질 위기에 처한 감돌고기는 한반도 고유종으로 일부 금강 여울에만 서식한다.
감돌고기는 금강 중상류의 물이 흐르는 자갈 바닥에 살지만 현재는 서식공간이 줄어들고 있으며, 멸종위기동식물 1급으로 보호받고 있다.
5월이 산란기인 감돌고기는 꺽지의 큼지막한 돌 아래 산란장에 알을 낳고, 수컷 꺽지에게 알을 맡기는(탁란) 독특함을 지닌 금강 고유종이다.

Unilam of Yunnan, Jinan, Jeonbuk, which boasts a stunning view of the Geum River. In May, it will be an impressive event for the breeding of the Korean endemic species Kengji and Joduldogi.
Gamdog meat, which is at risk of disappearing due to the destruction of herbs,
Jamdog meat lives on the gravel floor of the middle river of the Geum River, but now the habitat is decreasing and it is protected as the first grade of endangered species.
Gamdol meat, which is a spawning season in May, is an endemic species of Geumgang, which has an uniqueness that gives birth to an egg in a spawning ground under the large stone of Kengji and entrusts an egg to a male Kengji.
