세계 패션의 중심도시, 파리
수많은 패션쇼 가운데 세계 패션의 유행을 선도하는‘파리 프레타포르테컬렉션’패션쇼에서 2006년 한글 디자인 옷 51점이 선보였다.
그리고 한글 패션은 세계 패션디자이너들의 호평을 받았다.
한글을 패션과 접목시킨 디자인을 세계에 선보인 이는 바로 우리나라를 대표하는 패션디자이너 이상봉.
83년 패션디자이너로 데뷔한 그는 이후 프랑스 파리, 상하이, 러시아를 넘나들며 한국적인 디자인을 세계 무대에 알리고 있다.
무당의 옷을 디자인에 접목시키는가 하면, 우리나라를 대표하는 한글,한국전통 고가구, 소나무, 전통조각보에 이르기까지 다양한 한국문화를 패션과 접목시켜 새로운 디자인으로 재탄생시킨 디자이너 이상봉은 지금까지 수많은 패션쇼를 통해 한국문화를 알리면서 명실상부 한국적인 디자인의 대표 아이콘으로 자리 잡았다.
