강릉시와 평창군 사이에 있는 해발고도 832m인 대관령. 예로부터 고개가 험해서 오르내릴 때 ‘대굴대굴 크게 구르는 고개’라는 뜻의 대굴령에서 음을 빌려 대관령이 되었다고 전해진다. 한반도 기후의 분수령 대관령은 영동지역으로 이어지는 관문으로 신사임당과 이율곡이 지나쳤던 길목에는 강릉지역 사람들의 정서가 깊게 배어있다. 지금까지 어떤 다큐멘터리에서도 다루지 않은 대관령의 사계와 역사를 소개한다.

Snow and Wind Land
Daegwanryeong, 832 meters above sea level between Gangneung and Pyeongchang. It is said that it has become Daegwallyeong by borrowing the sound from the Great Mausoleum which means "the head which greatly rolls over" when the head goes up and down from ancient times. The Gyeonggwol Dynasty of the Korean peninsula is the gateway to the Yeongdong area. I introduce the four seasons and history of Daegwallyeong which have not been covered in any documentary so far.
