동강 유역에 흩어져 있는 유적·유물은 굽이쳐 흐르는 동강의 물줄기 곁에서 선사시대부터 사람들이 생활했음을 알려준다. 지금도 여전히 동강을 지키고 있는 사람들이 있다.
동강할미꽃 군락지에서 하류로 몇 굽이만 가면 거북이가 물속에 들어가는 모습인 금구입수형의 거북이 마을이 있다.
마을이라고는 하나 지금은 유일하게 한 가구만 남아있는 이곳에서 정용화씨 형제는 보기 좋게 몽우리가 핀 꽃을 채취해 동강의 삶을 담은 꽃 차를 만든다.
줄배를 타야만 들어갈 수 있는 오지 마을인 가정 마을, 한때 20여 가구가 살았지만 대부분 도시로 떠나고 지금은 다섯 가구만이 가정 마을을 지키고 있다. 꽃을 따면서 자연과 공감하고, 삶의 애환이 서린 역사의 땅에서 강의 일부가 되어 살아가는 사람들의 정겹고 순박한 일상을 만난다.

I live in the Dong River.
Ruins and relics scattered around the Dong River basin tell people that they have lived in prehistoric times near the meandering stream of the Dong River. Still, there are still people who are protecting Donggang.
There is a tortoise village with a gold purchase type in which a tortoise enters the water when you go down a few turns from the Donggang Hwasangmulhwa community.
In the village where only one household is left, Jung Yonghwa's brother makes a flower tea with the life of the Donggang by taking a flower that looks good.
The village of Oji, a village that can only be reached by a barge, once lived with about 20 households, but most of them have left for the city, and now only five houses are guarding the home village. It meets the everyday life of those who live as part of the river in the land of history where the sympathies of nature are born and the joys of life are borrowed.
